Stuff and Crap

Well since I commissioned this... ooh this morning and just got in checked my email and had the finished article I was too excited not to share :D So here is the newest picture of Max and Nate (had to go with a classic pairing because it's been aaaaages since I've had the brothers drawn together by anyone ^^

Okay... now I really must stop commissioning pictures of my characters... *sweats* okay well maybe just one more... <.< >.>

Ooh and a progress update. Werewolf Book 2: "Grave Dirt" (Working Title) is so far three chapters long I think :D hehe. Not bad to say I started typing it AFTER the new year... in fact. After I got my shiny new laptop just a week and a half ago. Go me! I'm doing well!

The Wanderer Returns...

Okay so I'm bored, it's after christmas and new year, I have exactly one day left before having to return to my wonderful class of year 5's... lol. And I figured, what the hey! I'll go blog! :D I know no one reads this since Linzi and Niki (the two that did) have not mentioned it to me in quite some time! But I figured what the hey!

Anyways, I'm currently looking into submitting my Werewolf story to some agents. Not sure why as I don't think it's good enough to be accepted by anyone (but I'm a pessimist so...who knows?) After discussion with Niki it was decided I should aim more for a young Adult market (which I really didn't want to do but...) and so I'm looking into Agents and what I need to do before submitting. As most don't accept unsolicited manuscripts and stuff these days.

Ooh ooh, I gots me an XBox 360 for Christmas! I am currently loving Fable 2 and Fallout 3! They seriously rule!

Picture today is of Max (aged 19) and Casey, a character who neither Niki nor Linzi know much if anything about as far as I know... she's a character in Max's future. :D Artist is once again Ecthelian (follow link in previous post) Only two more from her and they'll all have been posted :D )

Re-Draft done!

Well I managed to finish my re-draft of Werewolf :D am so proud and happy and... *yawns* tired. Least that's done and out of the way and whatnot now. Think I'm gonna put it to one side for a while. Take a break and then in a couple of weeks time read it through and see what I think before doing... what I decide to do with it next.

I did my first day of supply today at my school :D in a year two class. It went quite well... I think. Quite enjoyed it. The morning was great! No problems what-so-ever. But then after dinner they were a bit fussy... I mean they're only 6-7 year olds I was teaching and so friday after = boring for them (and me to be fair) But I survived. Also met many of the staff, not that I can remember their names there was so damn many of them. Anyways, I'm going back in on tuesday afternoon to cover a year 5 class O_O *gulp* that's scary.

Ooh ooh and am planning on visiting my last placement school (Morley Place) with Lindsey, the other student that was on placement with me, next thursday. I wants to see my little year 3 class, bless. Will be gutted if they can't remember me...

The picture today is by d-e-w-d-r-o-p-s and I really think this is one of my favourites. It just looks nifty and atmospheric. Plus the fact I think I used the phrase" Nate should be looking at the viewer as if to say 'grrrr... you looking at my brother'," always makes me chuckle too :D

Anyways, think I'm going to take off now. Any ideas of what to write in my break from werewolf please feel free to email me ^^; hehe. Not sure I'm gonna make a start with Leon's prequel just yet, as I think my break will be more filled with... well... filler. Writing that won't go anywhere and simply serves to keep me writing. Anyways, peace out and all that cack.

Jobs and Plans

Okay SO since last updating I have gotten myself a teaching position at a Primary School not too far from where I live. So I will be starting in september in a year 5 class :D huzzah! It's technically only for two terms covering Maternity leave but the head teacher seems to think it may go on for longer which at least means I get most of my induction year done, huzzah!

Well I've managed to iron out the plans for the beginning of my Werewolf Prequel story :D so I now know HOW I'm starting it as in what's gonna be prologue and what's gonna be chapter one. So once I get time to start it I'm all set! Unfortunately with the fact that I now have to start thinking about september and planning stuff and what-not I'm not sure WHEN that'll be :( which sucks. But I should have more than enough free time to start it up.

The picture today is brand-spanking new. Only just received it and I think it goes well with the ending of the story where Nate... well actually I won't say that. But it does. Linzi and Niki you two might agree? The artist is EWGraphics and I think he did a good job. Not a detailed piece like a future one I'm hoping will be finished soon but looks cool all the same.

Prequels and Problems

Right so I'm currently working on a prequel to my Werewolf story. This is because one of my friends who has read the story felt she needed some closure as to HOW the brothers became werewolves since this isn't really addressed in the story. Well it is, I mean the events are explained in the prologue and expanded upon slightly throughout but I never really say WHO bit Nate (the eldest brother) so Linzi (yes you Linzi -_-) said she needed (yep NEEDED - she stressed that word...) to know more about it.

So I decided to write the story that was purely in planning stages for much later down the line (trust me... there are plans for *ahem* a few stories in my werewolf world). IT's not really the story of HOW they became werwolves still, lol. Sure that'll annoy Linzi some. But it's basically set the day after and is told from Leon's (the local werewolf Pack Alpha) point of view. You find out exactly who bit Nate and what happens to him whilst the brothers are off being Pack members.

Unfortunately it's struggling to take off. I'm not focused enough these days (stupid job hunting) but I hope to really get started in the next week or two. I have to since Linzi made me agree to providing her with the first chapter or two on... June 22nd (I think) after she finishes college.

On a positive note I have another job interview at a school called Roughwood Primary School on friday... -_- yep Friday the 13th. Of course the past has taught me that whilst others may find this an unlucky day it's quite lucky for me. I always end up taking tests and exams on friday the 13th and pass them easily. So fingers crossed *crosses fingers* it may go well ^^;

First Postie

Well for my first post (since my untimely return to blogging...) I was going to spam loads of the pictures I've commissioned over the last year or two... But decided I'd just start with the one. So here is Nate and Max (I've got a few pics of these guys... seriously... so don't be shocked to see more in the future)

This was done by the incredible artist Ecthelian who has done several commissions for me and I am hoping will complete one or two more for me in the future. I seriously advise checking out her Deviant Gallery. She rocks!

Anyway, as I mentioned over there -----------> Nate and Max are the central characters for my story which is either entitled "Werewolf" or "Dawn Croft" as yet is undecided. I've been working on this bad boy for over a year but finally finished the first draft a couple of weeks ago. Nate is the elder and highly over protective brother who blames himself for the death of their parents and so takes his guardianship of little bro Max very seriously. Max is the youngest ever werewolf in existence as far as anyone knows. In my story world people are chosen to become werewolves (people who can change into wolves NOT horror movie werewolves...) by Pack Alphas but must be at least 21 because any younger and the risk of death becomes a certainty. Of course there are lone werewolves and those who go against the rules and threaten revealing existence of supernatural beings by being careless or going against the rules. Anyways, some how (I don't want to reveal too much) Nate was bitten and due to being unsupported through his first change went crazy, killed their parents and bit Max before snapping out of it. Some how both brothers (thought to be physically too young) survived and became the two youngest werewolves.

This is NOT however the story... lol. This is more backstory for my story. My story revolves around something that happens when Max is 16 and Nate is 25. So it's 8 years AFTER they are changed. Anyways, enough of that. Lots of babbling for my first post. Sorry.
